Hello there! I’m Jess and welcome to my blog.
I’m currently studying a BA Hons in Fine Art and Creative Writing at Lancaster University. I’m married to the wonderful Jonny, and together we have a cute little Sprollie (collie x springer spaniel).
This is a space where I share news and information about my artwork. For something a little official sounding (and very copy-and-paste-able) see the quote below.
But let’s be honest, you aren’t reading my blog for highbrow details, you can get your fix of that on the website. This is a space for me to share news and events, to connect with YOU and answer that age old question: what do artists do all day?
With that in mind, be sure to subscribe and follow me. I look forward to meeting you.
Jessica Elleray is an artist who makes uniquely beautiful copper paintings. Living in Silverdale, an area of outstanding natural beauty, it is not surprising that she’s inspired by the landscape. With a keen interest in anthropology and history, she aims to tell stories through her work and to reflect on the relationships between people, objects and place. The artworks develop through a lengthy process that involves no small amount of risk and when finished represent a dialogue between artist, material and location.
